Google Cloud Storage
Google Cloud's object storage, addressed by bucket and object name. The direct counterpart to S3 for uploads, backups and static assets.
Limits
Maximum size of a single object is 5 TiB, across all write methods including resumable uploads and composition
Object names in a flat-namespace bucket are limited to 1,024 bytes UTF-8 encoded
Strong global consistency is guaranteed for object read-after-write, read-after-metadata-update, read-after-delete, and object and bucket listing
Granting or revoking access to resources, and recreating buckets after deletion, are eventually consistent and typically take about a minute
Pricing model
Per-GB-month of stored data, varying by storage class and bucket location, plus per-operation charges and network egress. Operations are priced by class rather than by individual API name, so the rate depends on which class an operation falls into.

How it differs: Cloud Storage IAM changes are only eventually consistent — granting or revoking access typically takes about a minute to take effect, as does recreating a deleted bucket. Object read-after-write itself is strongly consistent, so the surprise lands on permission changes, not data.
